Joe Cox

President and CEO

Joe Cox, President and CEO, spent 1987-1993 working for numerous computer network consulting agencies and held several high level positions managing enterprise computer networks for private sector fortune 500 companies, and large Federal Government agencies. Before the 1993 launch of EastNet, there were already several customers waiting in line to take advantage of Cox´s expertise. These clients immediately positioned EastNet to provide sound solutions for their unique business computing needs.

When EastNet burst into the market in 1993, the network solutions they implemented used proven industry-wide methodologies to address its new customer´s network needs. By implementing a simple marketing and advertising campaign, a solid stream of customer referrals was quickly built. Through the years EastNet has retained a loyal client base that became the core customers of the company, many of whom are still clients today.

During the first 14 years EastNet primarily provided end to end network solutions to it´s customers, most of whom were small and mid size businesses. During this time EastNet also worked on numerous large scale contracts with tens of servers and hundreds of desktops. In 2007 EastNet changed its direction to focus more heavily on a new and growing market known as virtualization. Initially as a Virtual Iron Partner several successful IT virtualization projects were designed and delivered. In June of 2009 EastNet partnered with Citrix and has been delivering server and desktop virtualization solutions ever since utilizing Microsoft´s Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, and Citrix XenDesktop.

The typical client for EastNet is any company or agency that wishes to take advantage of the tremendous scalability and efficiency of server and desktop virtualization. Our expertise positions our staff very well for both medium scale and large scale projects. We are comfortable working in an environment with a handful of servers and fifty to one hundred desktops, or in a data center where hundreds of servers and thousands of desktops are deployed.

EastNet can design, install and manage any size virtualization project and will provide the best technical and people skills to make your project successful.
